We are veterans that are passionate about helping veterans in need with a unique plan that can also save a ship that has helped so many.
To understand the importance of this ship please read the history of the USS Shackle and USCG Acushnet. We are continually adding to the history page with the mission of the USS Shackle during WWII and the USCG Acushnet through 2011

The Acushnet Project Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a unique and multifaceted approach to supporting currently houseless veterans. Our mission is to continue the legacy of the Acushnet, a vessel that has saved countless lives, by offering housing, job training, and a sense of purpose that veterans desperately need.
Plan for future self-funding
The Acushnet Project Inc. offers a safe haven and comprehensive training opportunities onboard the retired US Coast Guard Cutter Acushnet. By becoming a working museum with visitors, food services, and other initiatives, we aim to make the Acushnet Project a self-sustaining program. This unique approach allows veterans to find purpose and move forward in their lives in a safe and supportive environment tailored specifically for them.

Beyond providing shelter, the Acushnet Project Inc. transforms into a veteran’s retraining program, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in civilian life. By offering a safe-haven and a pathway to success, we empower veterans to break free from homelessness and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

The USCGC Acushnet (WMEC-167) holds a legendary place in history,with 67 years of service from WWII through 2011, her history is facinating, and should be saved.
The Acushent can continue to provide aid. Continuing her motto to, "Help, Save, Strengthen". This unique vessel can help veterans in many different ways. Additionally, the Acushnet’s versatility allows it to offer emergency humanitarian aid to the local community during times of crisis.
